Well, what have you done already? A list and pics would be great. The single best thing you can do for these bikes is sort the suspension.

Yep, start with sorting the suspension. Best mod for these bikes. Get it set up for your weight and riding style.

:plus: on the suspension.
Get the front sorted, one of RickOliver's kits would do the trick, not that expensive really, £85 the last time I bought one, and the difference is clear.
Rear shock, can be pricey (£400+), I picked up a second hand RS250 shock and then got a spring to suit weight. £60 for the shock, £30 for the spring. Not too bad and did make a difference.

I get the feeling that for our NC brother it is all about looking good...

Sorting the suspension will cost a couple hundred quid...but you cannot see any difference.

Carbon look levers... oh my oh my  Might report you to the UN over crimes to good taste

.......and iridium screen. I shall present the evidence and let the jury decide:

Personally, I'd suggest some bling rearsets to replace those DIY bladesques - if we're talking looks here.

A Chinese fairing kit and the tank painting to match, with clear screen would make that bike look twice as good.
