Best Polish

What does everyone use to get a high gloss finish when polishing their bikes?

I gave mine a wash last night then gave the tank a T Cut where it was marked from my knees & also done the r/h seat panel, came up pretty good but obviously not going to T Cut every time I want to polish

When i'm doing a serious clean on the cars / bikes (bi-anually) I use.

1. Meguairs Gold Class Shampoo (full hand wash using 2 bucket method and good quality sponge)

2. Meguiars 'clay' kit to make all the paintwork glass-like smooth. Takes a long time but the cherry smelling spray bottle of detailer smells amazing. (dont taste it though)

3. I then apply Zymol Cleaner Wax (Blue stuff, smells like bananas, but dont taste this either)

4. Then finally Meguiars 'Gold Glass' clear coat 24 hours later

Result is a glass-like ultra-reflective vehicle that will look good for a long time :)

Mind you to buy all of the above your looking around £100 if you take into account good sponges / clothes / applicators.

Auto glym super resin polish. It's ok, I live out in "the sticks" so 5 mins up the road and it's covered in flies anyway.

I have used most of the polishing products and come to the conclusion that the expensive ones are not worth shit. As people who have seen my bike would agree, it's always very shiny and looks like new.

My products of choice

Mr Sheen Original Furniture Polish. Original leaves no smears 99p
Brasso for metal and removing scratches from paint, Superb finish, practiced on the car first £2.85
Meguiars Microfibre cloth for polishing and halfords shammy for a final mirror finish.

Granted flys seem to be overly attracted to it
