DX4 - Race Bike Thread - NG 2011 New Videos Posted 14/11
So, I decided after a bit of encouragement from CMSMJ1 at Cadwell; to get myself into racing proper stylee.
I was tipped off that if i went with EMRA I would be racing at Mallory and would keep the costs down so went with that.
The race bike - My stock engined road NC. Decommissioned for the cause.

Out at Mallory playing with CMS :D

Spec
Nitron Racing Shock (set up for a 9st rider)
Tyga Fork Tops with R/O Uprate Kit
17" RVF Rear Wheel
CBR600RR3 Calipers
Fireblade RR3 M/C
EBC Extreme Pro Pads
Micron Half system
RLR Radiators (on their way
)
Battered from Cadwell and the various acts of mine or other road users probably not the best place to start. Its hard to ignore that in the previous picture is another engine. After I was T-boned at low speed in December 2009 the NC got laid down and her throttle jammed open. It never quite ran right since then.
So I sourced another motor from Riley and used that.
This thread will be changing over the next few days/weeks as it doesnt really flow and theres a big story behind the whole thing but figured if I didnt post something up I never would.

Great stuff
watching that really makes me want to have a crack at it.
Does the engine have to be stock to run in the roadstocks? im guessing formula 400 allows tunned engines??

Re: DX4 - Race Bike Thread
Depends which club you are with. NGRRC have a stock rule, stock engine, and should have a daylight MOT,(but i have a stock nc30 engine in my rvf, and they seem okay with that). BEMSEE have a sub 60hp class in the f400 round, so you can run your road bike with an end can and a rejet, like most bike on the road and still be in with a chance. Not sure what EMRA or Derby pheonix classes are like though.Drunkn Munky wrote:Great stuffwatching that really makes me want to have a crack at it.
