Quick Chain Question
Hi ALL
I've installed a new chain on my nc30 and depending on how the chain is cycled there are tight and loose spots, this is normal i think, but how does one correctly tension the chain? Is it from the tightest spot or the loosest? If adjusted from the tightest spot the loosest area tends to be very loose and the chain hangs a lot more than 25mm..

Re: Quick Chain Question
Adjust in the tightest spot, but there should be no tight/loose spots with new chain /sprockets.
Did you replace the sprockets, I have found a worn rear sprocket is the biggest cause of tight/loose spots.
If you mix new and worn then the new items wear out quicker, but if money was tight I would replace rear sprocket to see how it adjusted up, but it would only be a short term fix
Dave.

Re: Quick Chain Question
Replaced sprockets & chain(DID), adjusted tension & went for a ride. When i got back the chain was well loose, so its loose half the run & tight the other half... I think im gona adjust for halfway inbetween?
