Oulton Sat 6th March - Trackday
I'm booked in Novice, Oulton is my fave track (apart from IOM), I'm sure the RVF will enjoy it!

Well i am taking the 916 up tommorow to get the wheels swopped over at oulton (well just behind anyway) and i will be quite likely strolling around the paddock later on.
Anything to recognise you ? feel a bit of a tit going upto every RVF owner in the paddock lol

Might take a ride over there today. Woken up to a half decent day for a change! Now the choice is whether I put the disks and wheels back on and take the RVF or just be lazy and get the fazer out....
Paul - what time you likely to be up there?

I saw your bike tracy in garage 3, didnt see you but did make a dick mf myself by going upto the lady near your bike and saying "hi you must be tracy i am paul from 400gb" and she just gorped at me and said she wasnt tracy.
Taxi . . . .
I saw 3 RVF's up there, white and black one who was going well, one in red and black and i think there was another too in the fast group who was flying.

Re: Oulton Sat 6th March - Trackday
Just got back from Oulton and am thawing out!
Paul - i too nearly made the mistake of asking a lady near the RVF if she was Tracy - however she had jeans and a yamaha jacket on so presumed not her!
I think the RVF with plain white fairings was one of the marshals. I saw another red one which seemed to be going well, until i noticed it at the end of the pit lane on fire..! The marshals did a good job of putting it out and think he got going again so wasnt fatal.
Although dry, its bloody cold out there today. Hope you had a good day Tracy - you seemed to be going well. Hopefully i'll get a couple of track days in myself this year after my first time at oulton last March. Was jealous of you lot out there today!

Re: Oulton Sat 6th March - Trackday
Sorry I did not see you, I was in garage 2. The 2-3? black & white RVF's were the instructors.
Bloody mental place Oulton, really enjoyed it, but very hard work, I have only done Cadwell twice this year & Oulton being my 3rd trackday, so I picked the 2 hardest tracks!
The instructor said my lines were really good & just advised on 2 corners a better line, as when I get faster I will be offline.
I was told the bike sounded great & I was smooth, so nice to know I was getting things right, lots to learn & improve on, but fun learning & trying things, not had the RVF tyres working that well before, so good to get the 'feel' of that.
Recently did lots of work on bike & found the front end to too soft, the intructor RVF has 15 weight oil in forks, mine has 10 so I will change that & upgrade springs, also next job on bike is refurb shock & grease linkage. Apart from that bike was good, not bad for a 14 year old bike
That fella who's bike was on fire at end of pitlane, I 'heard' his fuel line came off & burnt the electrics! But he was OK & bike got sorted. Quite a few highsides aswell, but all OK.
