coolant / oil

this is gonna souns really thick and really stupid but do i put in the colant container and also when i check my oil levels do i screw the dipstick in or just dip it in? thanks for the help

To check the oil, keep bike up right, unscew dip stick, wipe clean then put back in without screwing it in, remove, check level.
Do this from cold or if you have run the motor leave for 5 mins for the oil to settle back down.

thanks man nice one any idea on the coolant is it just water or do i buy something to put in there

For the coolant, if it's just a small top up you can use either water or anti-freeze.. I personally would use anti-freeze.
If you are unsure of the service history might be best to drain/refill with a 50/50 mix.

ok so if it is for some reason compleatly dried out i should use the 50/50 mix or something else and thanks for the help by the way ;)

i used "rock oil's" antifreeze its premixed and has no silicates so is better for the pump

silkolene pro-cool is a ready mix coolant as well

Any silicate free anti-freeze thats suitable for motorcycle use should be fine. use it 50/50 with distilled water.

The silicate free stuff has no sand in it, which is fine in a car but can damage the waterpump.

The distilled water helps to cut down on scale etc in the system
