NC 30 Addiction
Please I need help !!! I bought my last nc from wales off ebay. was a little dissapointed at the bodywork and it all started there. Took off front forks and calipers refurbished and repainted repainted. then took back end off shock rebuilt and new hub fitted, refurbed back caliper. Managed to get a nearly new mint lower left hand panel off here and had left hand mid, lower right, and top fairing repainted standard type 7 red/black. My son has a lovely 400 in HRC red/white and blue. He was after a new shock so I ended buyin a technoflex for mine and he is having mine. I then managed to buy another one also to refurb and get some money back also. So now I am having my tank, rear panels repainted and putting older panels on that one. Riley was breaking his so I bought tyga fairing stay and clock bracket. My friend has a bike shop and I ened up withh all nuts bolts from an NC and I bought another lot off ebay. Fogot to say 17 inch rear wheel, new wavy discs all round and all wheels powder coated
Do I need to see a shrink !!!!

I wouldn't bother, alas there is no cure.

Nope no cure, the closet you will find is having a RC30 too, but then you still want another NC30 as well

Re: NC 30 Addiction
ha, ha - i love it!
i have no idea @ the moment how much money ive spent!
i just do it in bits, im on my 3rd (part 3) winter rebuild.
2 years ago, general bits & pieces, just making the bike right & getting rid of all the pony bits.
1 year ago, complete rear end rebuild, inc brand new late spec showa rear shock.
this year, everything else! (apart from bodywork) - dropped a massive box of bits & another pair of wheels off @ the powder-coaters on friday morning.
awaiting my new clutch & uprated fork springs & all the other bits i already have waiting! i
just dont think about it & get on with it!
i'll do the body work later this year after ive been on holiday.
im seriously hoping that after this time round, there will be nothing left to do as everything will only be a max of 1000 miles / 2 years old!
i know a couple of people who have done it all in 1 go & have spent up to £5000 doing so!
& straight after finishing the NC, ive got my track day 106 xsi to finish & then my 82' YZ250 to rebuild.

Re: NC 30 Addiction
hello ibby,
I use Microblast Services in Windsor.
the man to speak to there is Alan Young & his tel no is: 01753 620145 / 620211
ive used him for 7/8 years now.
he does a brillaint job & offers loads of blast media options & finishes, from bead blasting, shot peening & shot blasting.
he then does powder coating & wet spraying.
he did my mitsubishi l200 wheels last year, blasted & powder-coated £160 the 4.
on friday i dropped off a pair of nc30 wheels to be blasted & powder-coated in met grey - he charges me £60 a pair.
i also left him a box of other stuff which was a combination of blasting & then powder-coating or wet spraying (which costs more) all in gloss black & that lot was £80.
there is a place 2 miles from me in high wycombe & they charge £75-100 per car wheel & £60-80 per motorbike wheel!
when i had some stuff priced there, i started laughing, i couldnt believe how much they were charging!
