Stainless Downpipes

Post by dickdastardly »

How much would some second hand stainless downpipes (for a NC23 Tri-Arm) in decent knick go for on average? Just I need to get my bike re-jetted and my pipes are rusted to F*@K. Wondering if I'll be able to afford it all before a trackday I'm doing in March. Would be pointless to get it set up with the rusty pipes then to replace em.
Thanks.

try contacting GF. He had a Predator exhaust for sale for £200 4-1 stainless including can. Good buy I think, I just turned the offer down as it wasn't a 4-2-1 system

Kind regards
Martin

That does sound fair. I suppose I should mention I don't need can and it has to be the standard 3 point bolt on type rather than any slip on type.

Some of the stainless downpipes are crap. If you search you will see people having jetting problems and power loss. May be as well getting the full system from Graeme.

I'm not sure of the science behind it but apparently you loose power fitting a 4-1 system compared with a 4-2-1 system (standard)

Do any of you guys think this would be any good? I know it's slip on, but I can make an adapter. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR-400-NC2 ... 500wt_1182" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, I saw that. Think the dude just wants to get people looking for either 29 or 23 auctions to look at it. I'll ask what they are for. NC29 downpipes won't fit the 23 will they?
