UGENTLY WANTED: FZR600 4JH GENERATOR COVER

Post by plodder » Wed Dec 02, 2009 7:41 pm

I crashed my hybrid at Oulton today and the generator cover is smashed to bits.

Anyone got another one to sell me?

I've got another track day on 19th December, hence the urgency, otherwise I may not be on track (assuming nothing is badly bent).

Does anyone know which other models covers fit?

Thanks

Just to let you know, I damaged the generator cover on my hybrid and needed a new one. The 3HE does not fit at all, it is not deep enough.

None turned up on ebay or second hand, so I eventually bit the bullet and got a new one from Yamaha, quick delivery, but cost about £50!

Thanks for that. Cagiva996 is sorting me a pre-repaired cover but I'm sure it will do the job.

The other issue I found when starting to sort the bike out lias night is that the rotor has been dinted out of round in one place. I have asked Cagiva996 if he has one of them too but in case that's a non-starter, has anyone else got one or can they be beaten back to shape without the magnet failing or disintegrating? Or am I better off just skimming it to achieve clearance with the dremmel?
