Can someone advice on the acceptable kilometres the bike can do before the shims/valve clearence can be adjusted again!? Can you also please confirm the acceptable clearence. My question is based on the fact that the bike struggles to start once they are out of spec. :(

Ye not long, but when you think the engine is above 10000rpm most of the time you have to feel sorry for the little girl. The service is very easy as you only got to push the followr over and after swopping shims around you usualy only need 4 or 5 new ones.

i cant tell u on what kilos the shimming should be done but i can give u the corect clearence of the shimming.

Valve clearance intake: 0.10-0.15 on a cold motor
Valve clearance outlet: 0.15-0.20 on a cold motor
