Will a Fireblade 900 Silencer fit onto my SS System?

Post by vr46 »

Hi,

I suppose this question gets asked a lot, I'm asking because I don't know what kinda exhaust system I have. It's a full race system; where the can connects it has a 50-51mm adapter which slips onto the pipe and allows you to attach a can via 3 bolts.

I've seen some really decent race cans for sale off 92> onwards fireblade 900's or cbr 600's.

Do you know which will fit?

I have a Gullarm NC29.

Cheers

Hi,

The stud spacing should be the same so yes an early blade can should fit. You might need to do a little bit of widening of the 3 holes, i know when i was looking at putting my micron from the 400 to the blade that it 'nearly' fitted but needed a bit of fiddling with.

Make sure its an early one and not an FI model, they definately dont fit.
Too many bikes, so little time!

I don't have the full pics right now.. Just went out and took a quick pic of the adapter where it slips and clamps to the pipe which then has fixings for a bolt on..
