Honda or Aprilia RS250 Body? Anyone tried those?

Post by astroman »

I saw someone fitted RS250 tail on NC29 but how about the fairings? Anyone done this? Not sure if this works because CBR is much more wide than RS250 ...

dont think it will fit, the rs250 and the vfr400 and pretty similar, i tried a vfr400 fairing a few years ago on my nc23 and was about 50mm short in height.

i now have an rs250 fairing on my vfr400 and it fits the original mounting points.

oh, sorry, they were honda rs

Im a fan of the original but would love to see this conversion.

Another contender would be the Ducati 848 fairing, which I think would look fantastic, the closest to a modern looking CBR400 if it evolved, especially with those air ducts and cut headlights, lovely jubbly.

Yeah Greggos sunny side down, very helpful fella. Those rear sets do look a little familiar
It would be nice to be able to buy an off the peg ali sub frame designed with the single race cowl in mind that didnt cost the earth.

Carl, if you did one with an aly subframe I'd be VERY interested. It would need to take the original battery box or something similar. Let me know what seat unit you're thinking of, not sure if I'm that keen on the gixxer one.
