Can someone get some figures from a haynes manual for me?

Post by Drunkn Munky »

My haynes manual seems to have gone walkies and i need the details the electrical test as i think my reg/rec has had it.

Battery goes flat when left standing for a couple of days, battery is about a year old but has had very little use. When fully charged voltage across the terminals is 13.5v, when @5k rpm its reading 16.5v.
Leakage test revealed that the reg/rec was leaking 0.11 amps. Zero leakage when reg/rec is removed. Cant remember what the allowance is on the leakage test but im pretty sure 16.5v @ 5k rpm is too high?????

Overcharging and the leakage test is leading me to think the reg/rec has had it but wanna be sire before i order another.

Aye, 16.5 = Goosed, Should be between 13.5v and 15.5v @ 5000rpm, Mines currently reading at around about 20v so i've got myself a R6 reg waiting in the post office for me :/

Current leakage from the battery should be 1mA max. :peace:

I think theres 1000mA in an amp, So 0.11amps would be 110mA? I'm not sure, Not much of an electrician myself, Dunno if that's right, Must be someone who's a half decent spark reading this?
