nc23 or nc29? Help!

Post by Zola »

Zola here from Warsaw Poland. Age: old. 165 cm (5'4") tall. I am going to find the very best original Baby Blade but can't make up my mind which model it will be. Any advice gratefully received.

What bike is the most common in Poland? get that one.
Both are very good.
Make sure its an RR NC23 if you get one. DO NOT buy an aero with a single headlight.

Thank you Mikiboy. British men are so nice.

There is not much choice. And we have probably more people who cheat with used motorbikes than in UK since we have less money and cheating for small money is more worthwhile.

There is one Aero for sale which is horrible.

There is one NC 29 which looks nice but it has a custom padded seat which makes it too high for me - I'm small and not so strong.

There are 2 NC 23's (grey and black) but they are claimed being produced in 1992 and 1995 which I know is not true. They were imported from Germany and I think our idiot registration people took the date they were registered in Germany.

That is all. But not many people here know what wonderful machines they are - and so sexy.

One has a thin silver line between the grey and black. The other one is identical except no silver line. The paint looks like it is original on both. One has 29000km the other 44000km. Is there anywhere where i can see the original colour schemes sold so i know which one might not be true.

I'm thinking I like the one with gold line. The first owner in Germany was a lady and everyone knows that ladies look after bikes best!!

Shall i buy one or wait?

Hi Zola, try this site:

http://www.vsource.org/VFR-RVF_files/Bcbr400r-rr-mi.htm

This will give you the original colour schemed for both the nc29 & nc23.

I can recommend the nc23, I have two and they are great!

Hi Zola, regarding the NC29, you could just buy another seat via ebay, they are cheap and common, mostly. I am also very short, maybe a smidge over 5' and I found the NC23 just a bit taller than the NC29 but you should go for the one you feel most comfortable on, maybe try some out before that final parting of money.

Thank you Yakama and Durka Durka. The colour is there and right. I'm not sure why, but I like the look of the NC23 more. Look out Stalowa Wola, I am coming on Sunday to get my NC23!! My guess is that we probably have no more than 10 in our country.

I will be riding the bike back 250km in cold October. Wish me luck. At least it will be quick

If anyone ever thinks to come to Poland, contact me about how to stay alive on our roads.

Yikes 150 miles... I'd be planning on a couple of stops on the way back, then- 60 miles is enough on one of these :|
Yours sounds like the later RRK model if it's got the extra stripe, not a lot of difference really between it and the earlier RRJ
