Firstly a big thank you to all the guys on the forum who assisted me earlier with comments & feedback etc.
My old thread was called "Set it on fire" as I couldn't get the bike started. I had to eventually send it in to a Mech & he did a compression test & found all the cylinders where very low. Opened the heads & found that the all intake valves had recessed into the Head. Unleaded fuel is not your friend! I thought he was talking sh*t, but showed me the valves. I had to get two extra valve for him as the older ones where slightly bent. He re-faced & got them all back to spec. Here in SA, I couldn't get new valves. The 2 second-hand valves I got had to be re-faced as well, as they where also starting to recess into the head of that particular VFR.

After 4 months & alot of waiting & patience I picked up the bike today. She runs well, but getting some milage on the motor before I re-sync the carbs. I have to use the Lead replacement fuel now.
The low down torgue has improved drastcally & she pulls nicely through out the rev range.

I have to get used to the riding position again as I was riding a Honda Steed 600 cruiser while the bike was in the shop. Also the suspension is alot stiffer.

Anyway, sorry for the long thread, but thank you guys again for all the assistance & motivation.
