3HE exhaust on 3en2?

Anyone have an idea whether the FZR600 3HE link pipe and can will fit an FZR400 3en2? I don't mind if the link pipe needs a bit of reshaping. I know the crushable exhaust seal from link pipe to exup collector box is the same part between 400 and 600.
My bike came with a race can fitted and I'm in a small town which means when I don't want attention I've got to keep the bike around 3000rpm.
Delkevic do a nice stainless can with link pipe for the 3HE for £114 and then I don't have to watch me back. Plus I only live 400 yds from the police station and firing up the bike at 5.30am to go to work probably isn't appreciated as I live in a terraced street. I have to wheel it a 100yds down the road at the mo. :-)

Or anyone know if any r6 cans definitely fit. Only problem is I don't have a link pipe as my race can has it built in.

I think the 3HE will fit the 3en2.
The main differences are in the headers, as you say you might need a bit of force to get it to sit right. I'd try for an oval can so you get a little more clearance from the swingarm

Just fitted a self hacked R6 set of headers to a 3en2. If you separate headers 1 & 2 from 3 & 4 (and cut the little joining flaps and the small connecting link near the top) they fit straight in an bolt up perfectly using the R6 flanges! (lol, I said flanges! - sorry...) Sadly, at the other end you have to get a little creative with some cutting, grinding and bolting of custom pipe work to gain a link pipe fitment and can - something I'm still in progress with.

If you want to keep the EXUP collector on your bike then just take it to somewhere like Gibson Exhausts and they will chop off your old downpipes and weld some new ones in. The exhaust system isn't super flowed or anything as the downpipes enter the EXUP collector just behind the valve.

Haven't asked exhaust builder to do it yet but you can weld stainless to normal steel, so if you can find someone willing to do it, you could have stainless downpipes welded to the standard EXUP collector. All you need is the correct welding wire to join them.

Got hold of a YZF600 4TV can which must have come straight off the bike as the stainless is showroom. This doesn't use a link pipe and locates spot on to the exhaust mounting bracket.

Problem is, with the crushable exhaust seal (link pipe to EXUP collector box pipe) removed the new pipe is still just too small to push (or hammer) on to the collector pipe. I can get a 3HE link pipe and cut the exhaust seal housing off and weld it to the new pipe but will the Thundercat exhaust be too small???

I only have a race pipe with the bike and the external diameter of that is roughly 2 1/2 inches. The internal diameter is that minus the thickness of the stainless (so still really 2 1/2 inches). The Thundercat exhaust is still external 2 1/2 inches but the internal is 1 3/4inches. But as the Thundercat revs to 12k, I can't see it restricting a 400 revving to 14.5k. Anyone know the internal diameter of a standard 400 silencer, please????

Lets look at this from a different angle.

our original race can is to loud - maybe just fit a db killer, they're cheap off e bay.
Next - have you thought about repacking the can ??? Chances are there's no packing left in it. You need soume packing stainless steel wire wool stainless zipties and some sealed rivets. It's not a difficult job.

The FZR600 3HE uses a similar engine to the FZR400 3en2 and the frames are similar too .... so the 3HE can should, porbably, bolt straight on.
