Howdy guys :)
Been doing a lot of mods to me bike recently, new chain and sprockets, standard gearing 520 conversion plus new brake caliper seals and master cylinder rebuild kit as my brakes was sticking on.
Some of you might have read before my bike topped out at 109mph recently but I had 5 teeth more on the rear sprocket as standard, that plus my brakes might have been sticking, lots of factors could have contributed to this.
Anyway today I just wanted to see what the bike would do in 1st and 2nd at the limiter and I wanted to know what you guys were getting.
1997 RVF400
1st gear limiter 40mph (or just over)
2nd gear limiter saw 60mph
Does that sound about right for what you guys are getting ?
I'll go for a top speed run soon see what we get, I got a sat nav top speed recall thing on the bike so I'll be able to tell you a true top speed of the NC35
but for now I just wondered if 40 n 60 was right for 1st n 2nd gear ?
Cheers
