Is the NC35 derestricted in the same way as the NC30. [resistor or plug in box to over ride speedo contacts]

To get around it on the nc35 you just need to run a wire from the blue/orange cdi wire to a 12v source.

I don't use a resistor, and many racers I know don't either. Easy!
