Re: please help me
If you don't own a multimeter then go and buy one.
If you do then do the following checks and report back the findings.
All at DC 20V kind of range
measure the DC volts in the battery sraight after it has been on charge.
the same but the next morning
measure it with the bike running, no lights on.
measure it at 5k revs
Check to see if the voltage rises from 12.5+ to over 15v and is directly related to the revs.
Then switch the multimeter to AC range - up to 100 AC V more than 50 anyways)
Find the wire from the generator and trace it to a connector - open the connector and on the generator side of the wiring you should be able to measure the AC V output of the generator.
Start the bike and do this test twice, once at idle and again at 5k revs.
Do this by sticking each probe into the 3 wires in turn so you meaure them all against each other - it will make sense when you see it. What AC voltage do you get for each "phase" - should have 3 numbers for each set of tests at idle and 5k revs.
If your bike is not running enough to do the tests then get a car battery or borrow a known good bike battery off a friend. Hell..buy a spare one, they always come in handy.
Good luck..

Re: please help me
Ignore the reg rec for now - you need to start at the start...which is whether the genny kicks anything out and if it does, is it right.
After that we'll know what the reg rec is up to..
You'll fix it mate, I had to do it to my bikes..hence why I know what the deal is..

Re: please help me
If you download the bandit manual from banditalley it will show how to do the tests that CMSMJ1 is talking about and there are pictures that will help.

hi, i tried testing it all and heres wot i got: bike runnin no lights=14.25. bike runnin 5k revs=13.9.
then i tried to test the generator but i must be doing sumthing wrong. i was gettin 0.2, i will post a picture of my multimeter if you can tell me wot setting i need to check the generator i would be grateful, and also where the - probe should go when the + is on the wire. thanks
