Hi i was looking at getting some Stomp grip for my NC35. I was wondering peoples thoughts on it and whether its the universal one i want and also does it need cutting to size?
does anyone have any pictures of this fitted and how do they rate it?
Thanks

I used the CBR F4I Pads.. unfortunately mine started to peel after about 6months of usage ( CA weather 100+ degree) , so I removed them completely. I have also heard from some that they will wear out your leathers after awhile.

Re: Stomp Grip
also the peeling of the pads could've been cause by my improper installation. Did not clean the thank with degreaser.

Re: Stomp Grip
I use the universal stomp grip on my '35. Had it fitted back in November and it is still looking okay. They do work very well, and if fitted correctly you shouldn't have any problems of peeling, given just how sticky they are. I degreased my tank first, and then used a heat gun to warm my tank and the stompgrip. I'll try get some pictures tommorow for you. The CBR4i kit definately looks better with the 35's tank than my universal kit though.

Re: Stomp Grip
I have the universal model on my nc30 track bike, love it.
On a daily rider it would wear your leathers out (end hurt with jeans!), wicked for the track.

Also for me it was sticky enough to change tanks a few times. Which would you rather wear out - the leather at your knees, or your b@lls lol? Does what is says on the tin and makes shifting weight sideways and keeping pressure off the bars a lot less tiring...

Re: Stomp Grip
i got chatting to a local racer over here who uses stomp stuff,he had just been involved in an accident where someone came up the inside and used him to brake... the result was a bent bar, rear set some cracks on the fairing and marked under wear but he said when the guy hit him he ended up stoppieing across the track and if it wasn't for the stomp stuff he'd of slid off the bike with the force of the impact
he swears by the stuff and after seeing the damage and hearing the story of the impact i might just invest in some myself.......f4i fits you say ???

Re: Stomp Grip
I need to double check ... It was either 03-06 F4I or 03-06 600RR.royster81 wrote:.......f4i fits you say ???

Just compare the contour of the two tanks.
