NC23 Float Bowl Gaskets
Has anyone bought any of these recently? I called David Silver yesterday and was told that these can only be bought with a carb gasket set costing £16, which means £64 for all 4!!!
Honda certainly do know how to charge, can anyone help?

Planned to mate but two are leaking quite badly, just looking into what gasket sealants can be used with fuel.
Cheers,

Graeme France does a good used set with sealer for £15.

Yeh thanks mate, just ordered a tub of the sealant from him, hopefully that should sort it. If not i'll have a go with some good second hand gaskets.

Re: NC23 Float Bowl Gaskets
FWIW all of the 'fuel resistant' gasket goos I've used for this have quickly vanished upon contact with fuel.
Anyone know of a product that can be used that won't end up in the fuel bowls after each race?
[I'm a tight arse when it comes to buying new gaskets too, more expensive over here!]

Re: NC23 Float Bowl Gaskets
My carbs were leaking after changing the main jets and I wasn't paying the £64, I found some O rings that were the same thickness as the gaskets, cut them to length and glued the ends together. I have done this on a few bikes now, had them like this for four years on my current bike with no problems. Fixed the leak and after giving the carbs a clean recently I found they were all in the same condition as when I fit them. Hope this helps.

Re: NC23 Float Bowl Gaskets
Well just to let you all know the sealant i got from Graeme France done the job. Took the old gaskets out, covered them in the sealant which is blo*dy sticky to say the least, then re-fitted them. It doesn't actually harden, but stays sticky, they were leaking quite badly but there's not a drop now.
I was also jubious due to past experiences with sealant and fuel, but this stuuf is awesome. Unfortunately i have no idea what it is as it was in a little medicine pot.
Smithy-That was my next plan if the sealant didnt work, just wasn't too sure if the glued joint would hold out, sounds like it would have done nice job!
