US owners - where do you source OEM or replacement parts?

Post by 911f »

Hoping for some help. doing some reviving on the rvf400 I picked up - my first one, see new rider intros for details. Needs a little TLC but in mostly good shape.

For those in the US, what do you do for parts? are there some internet honda suppliers that you have had luck ordering/finding OEM parts for these bikes? Or other european suppliers that are reliable and will ship to US? I am searched and googled out. Right now I have some plug wire corrosion and trying to locate new plug wires, but I'm sure as I keep working the list will grow as I find this or that. Figure you guys would know.

thank you

Rick Oliver.....he is the best source as far as I am concerned. Here's a tip from me though. Realize that these guys put in time to take care of you so take care of them when it comes time to pay. I always like to throw some extra over the amount as gratitiude for the help.

I found that the local Honda dealer will be able to get most of the parts if you can provide the part number for them...bearings, seals stuff like that. Anything else was Ebay/RO... Here is a source for part numbers http://akhara.com/nc30/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

talk with Craig. Very professional and prompt. He can get you anything you need from Japan for the bike. Takes 2 weeks from ordering to your door usually.
Definetly download the parts fiche. There are a lot of us on the left coast with these and we have a decent stash of parts, so depending on what you need, we might be able to help you.

US Honda cant get hardly any of the engine internals or gaskets. Lots of other bits are available though, as was mentioned, if you order by part #.
Oil filters are the same as cbr600 F2/F3/F4/F4i.

Clutch fibers for the RVF are same as Honda XR100

Another source for spark plugs is http://www.ngk.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (not a NGK corporate site)
