My friend is considering selling his Trick nc30 - pics added
I'm really sure if I should put a post in this section or not, but a friend of mine (the engineer who does all of my machining work) is considering selling his Nc30 as his brother has just bought an R1 and he misses the power of a big bike.
The bike itself is a little bit special, it has a full Ducati front end (Forks/yokes/brembo brakes/wheel/etc), Vfr750 rear wheel conversion, Rvf dogbone linkage, both front and rear wheel have been painted within the last 600 miles, Tyga spark front fairing, Rvf exhaust system with new collars and a carbon can, and the clocks are showing 35000kms. The paint isn't perfect, infact up close its a bit rough around the edges (it was going in for a black and white respray which has now been cancelled) and it has a whine in second gear although the peformance of the engine itself is very impressive. Firstly hes asked me what I think its worth, the chassis is about as good as you will find bar an aftermarket shock, but its let down a little by the paint and 2nd gear whine. I suggested that its worth more in parts (its got a £900 - £1000 front end in bits, let alone the other parts on the bike) but hes is keen that someone else be able to enjoy the bike as much as he did. I've got a figure in my mind but what are other peoples thoughts? Would people be genuinely interested in parts if it were broken? Does anyone want a seriously pimped nc30? He has gone on holiday for a week and I was unable to take any pics before he left but photos would be available next week, Thanks for reading and all the best Paul.

Re: My friend is considering selling his Trick nc30.
£2000- £2300 would be my guestimate.
Pictures would Help, but I feel that the Paintwork would put a few people off seeing as realistically, it sounds like it needs a full respray which cna cost another few hundred quid on top.
In mint condition, if I had the money I would happily pay upwards of £2500 for it. But I dont have the money, and Ive got 2 NC30's already, I would be lynched if I bought another. LOL Besides, Im in the market for a ZX12R ninja anyway..

Here are the photos I promised, when I popped around the other day I'd forgotten just how nice this bike actually is. The radiators are the best origonals I've ever seen, its running an Rvf exhaust system with brand new collars fitted and a carbon can, his Ducati front end has a one off ignition mount in a similar position to the standard Honda item, it has a matching full lockset, the Rvf dogbone, 750 rear, its recently had the carbs balanced and cleaned, good C + S and an excellent pair of Bt090s top it off with. The worst of the paint is actually the tank as it hasdn't been laquered properly by the previous owner.

Nice looking bike, but I think you're right in saying it would be worth more in parts, or returned to standard and other parts sold.
Both of these options take time though, not everyone has that.
