Hi.
I have just bought a blue flame oval titanium tailpipe for my NC30. It has the original tailpipe on it but it has been cut already so i can fit my blue flame. Question! i have the inlet pipe and jubliee clips to fit but do i need to apply any sealant on the two joints? i am sure the inlet is right but im unsure it will be an air tight fit with just the clips!! hopefully you can help!!!!
Thanks
Kris

I would try it without first then run it, if it blows then look at using some sealant..

Re: Fitting a bluelflame tailpipe!! Help!
it wont hurt to put a smear of exhaust assembly patse on its only about £4.50 from halfords.
but as biff says try it dry first.
run the bike and place your palm over the exhaust tail pipe the engine should slowly cut out once the revs drop release your hand and try again if your system is leaking your engine will only be slightly affected this is the method most mot stations use to check for leaking exhausts. if it is leaking dont try this method untill the paste has cured (help it go off by running at tick over or you will blow the paste out.)
hope this helps

Don't you find as soon as the silicone gets a little amount of road grease etc on it, it tends to break down quickly and needs replacing.????rcv4 wrote:i prefare to use silicone to seal slip joints.
