FAR EAST EBAY FAIRINGS?

Post by paul nc 24 »

Anyone bought these i know there is a little work to fit them and the feed back suggests the ones from hong kong are a little better than the chineese quailty wise i have 3 sets already 2 oem that need a bit of work before a respray and a fibreglass set that im currently running.
cost wise the new pianted far east set look ok but what do you think?.
any nightmare stories out there regarding them?.
dont want to waste £350.

bought these from hong kong last june when my blade got turned into a cat d and i didnt want to spend a fortune.

they cost £350 inc postage - for the money i didnt think to bad, were very well packaged to reach me. the paint is not bad and even the decals were laquered over the main issue i found is the oem honda panels have mounting points for the tail light / head lights etc...these panel did not have the mounting points so i needed to make some brackets to hold lights and part in place and pretty much all of the hole needed widening to take the fixings.

apart from these small issues i dont think they are too bad, i have used them through out the summer and winter and they are still going strong.

hi nemesis
ive got two sets of oem but it will cost me more to get a full respray and carry out the little repairs and thats just for a base colour.
as i fancy a rossi repsol rep i will be there a lot quicker and cheaper if i go with far east set just a bit worried about the quiality.

hi pugparcels
from the photos the headlight mountings look to be there on the nc24 set. can any one confirm this?.
the bike looks sweet and you seem v. happy with them so i guess thats 1-0 for the hong kong guys.
