VFR400 N30 Restriction Kit
Hi,
Im looking for a 33bhp restriction kit for a VFR400 NC30 just wondered if theres anyone with a set I could buy,

Thanks

Re: VFR400 N30 Restriction Kit
How quickly do you want these?
I'm due to have my restriction lifted pretty soon, so you can buy mine if you like?
Search for 33bhp restriction on here - you dont actually need to get the inlet washers, or have a certificate from A1 to prove you've had them fitted.
If you restrict it on the throttle or any other means its still legal under the (a1?) - whatever category, that restricts you to 33bhp.
Just get it dyno-ed to prove to the law if you ever need to.
Much written about this too thou, as this only proves it was putting out 33bhp AT THE TIME of testing.
Cheers,

Well as soon possible but I don't mind waiting a little bit, my bikes just sitting in my garage till I get it restricted I don't want to chance taking it out. How much will you be selling them for?
I will also read up on the throttle restriction, I will probably keep the restriction in just to be safe and I was planning to put in the washers myself and get it dyno-ed.
Thanks

Re: VFR400 N30 Restriction Kit
de-restricting early risks your license, not to mention invalidates any insurance!
you can get seriously screwed for it!
just checked my license... restriction ends on 12/09 ... a little longer than i thought.
check out the 'for sale' section, someone is bound to have some.
price wise... bear in mind the kit is about £110 new, however i have seen some bargains at £40-£60.
Personally, id consider anything upto £80 a good deal, you're still saving a fair whack, and if you can do this yourself you don't have to pay for an hour of two labor - savings that will pay for the dyno!!!

£110
for 4 washers
I threw mine across the garage when i took mine out after a annoying slow ride home from picking the bike up. Think i'll go search for them.

Ah... but they aren't *just* washers - they come with "FI International" embossed on them... and a certificate which proves sod all.

Piece of mind i guess.... if you're ever asked and you reply "garage fittted F1 Intl restrictors" any decent copper will accept this and not be suspicious!

Cheers,
is that not only applicable for fuel injected bikes? Not heard of it, thus far, on the Encythirty
