N23 to Nc29 Rear Wheel conversion (suspension question)

Post by LozVTR »

Hi all,
I know this has been covered loads of times before but im looking for abit of advice.

Im going to do the 17inch rear wheel conversion on my nc23 and I understand I need a diferent dogbone to raise the ride height.

My question is:

Do I have to buy a new dogbone for £80 or is there any cheaper alternatives?

Is there either a dogbone or suspension setup from another bike which I can use or is there anyway of modding the exsisting one?

cheers all.

if you are wanting to raise the rear ride height, which they need anyways..you might as well do it properly and go the whole hog.
new dogbone,linkage,and a cbr600 rear shock...all from graeme france
you can thank me later for the advice
and thank graeme for sorting it out
its a tried and proven system, ive raced with it for years.
and there are plenty of road users too

cheers stimpy,

How much is all of that likely to set me back? Im on a shoe string budget.

Its definatley something id like to do in the long run but are there any cheaper alternatives just to get the ride height sorted with the smaller wheel?

Its a question of handling. The height is raised for better turn in.
You couild fit your own shock but you are best to get the dogbone off Graeme

Why you can't fit it without the dogbone, at least if you have the dogbone you can fit a number if diferent shocks.
