Valve Clearance on 600 Foxeye Engine
Can anyone tell me the clearance requirements for the valves on the 600 foxeye engine? I thought i'd check them before the final build to complete my hybrid.

Same as other yams. 0.11-0.2mm inlet, 0.21 to 0.3mm exhaust.
Go for the maximum or up to 0.05mm over as per the YZF750 factory race manual.
Manual available free at http://www.exup1000.co.uk/tech/misc/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Clearances close up with time, especially inlets, causing difficulties in starting, so don't leave anything near to minimum or you'll be in there again in no time.
I set mine at 0.18-0.22 inlet and 0.28-0.32 exhaust. Replacement shims are available in 0.05mm increments I also grind shims thinner cos I'm a cheapskate and I get whatever thickness I want.
