well this bike has certainly tested my patience thats for sure although its come good finally
Had a good ride on it yesterday since fitting those rubbers and i cant say i noticed any difference performance wise than with the bodged on 3TJ rubbers, midrange is still crap lol infact im going to check over the EXUP valve when i get chance as im pretty sure it should'nt be this flat. Where id maybe drop just one gear on the NC to overtake i find myself dropping two on the FZR to make any decent progress.
Fork seals blew oil all over my brakes so theres some work to keep me busy over winter

Despite my lame attempts to sell the bike over winter it didn't sell, priced to high if i'm completely honest but at least attempting to sell it kept the misses happy in that i was at least trying to reduce the amount of bikes i have.
Due to the forks pissing themselfs all over the brakes they have been rebuilt along with the brakes and new EBC HH pads although upon test riding it before xmas i noticed the hanging revs issue was still there, video below

This was taken in the garage after warming it up but its worse when out riding, logic says its an air leak but i cant find one. Ive removed the carbs for a clean up anyway and upon doing so noticed there different than the carbs i originally tried and failed to get the bike started with, this is the running set ive just removed
And this is the original set i had no luck with,
If you look closely your notice the original set has 4 float bowl screws and the running set only has 2, are they both 3TJ or do i have something else here?
On a brighter note ive found a nice aftermarket can for it,
And also a M Max box atlast

Tell the Misses that I checked your list of bikes and they are all very important.

I guess that explains why i could never get it running with the other set then.
Stripped, cleaned and checked the running set and jets and settings are all stock as per the manual although upon checking the plugs which were white so that suggests im running lean, float bowl seals are also manky so ive just ordered a full set of viton seals off your site. Once thats done i'll get it on the dyno to check the fueling and see what it makes before fitting the FCR's to compare.
Once back together the revs still hanged as before but if i dropped the idle speed to 1100-1200 rpm it solved the problem, not sure if this suggest ive a problem elsewhere as the idle speed was barely 1400 rpm to start with, still cant find any air leaks.
Oh and im not telling the misses anything

One of the Suzuki owners had a similar issue and solved it by setting the mixtures differently

Oh mate, I've just read this whole thread, what can I say! I know the bike was a bit of an unknown quantity but feel a bit guilty!
BDK! What a bloody joke outfit they are then. You would wouldnt believe how much those carbs cost me.
I hope it's all semi sorted mate and your well.

Blimey mate where you been

I have had a bit of a love hate relationship with this one but its all good now, my stupidity is mostly to blame. I do still have the invoice from BDK and did almost send them to them but the thought of not ever seeing them again put me off.
