Re: Non starter
If the solenoid spins then I'd be looking at that or the starter button switch.

Re: Non starter
Guess what. No joy
. Fitted ignition box and still the same. Not getting mad (yet!!)
Staying calm.
What I can't get my head around is that everything works ie lights, indicators, horn etc but nothing on the ignition side.
No exup setting, fuel pump priming, no clicks of relay etc.
Oh well, back to the multimeter and wiring diagrams to see where the power should come from to get it turning over.
Using a few different diagrams as they seem to have the same colours
Turning into a bit of a saga this
Next installment tomorrow night

YYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!
We have a running FZR400 3EN2.
Ended up being an iffy kill switch (i think somebody suggested that in an earlier post, THANKYOU
)
In fact cheers for everybodys input
Sounds sweet as a nut apart from a bit of a rattle from the exup valve on tickover. May stop when it warms up properly.
Not been run for about 5yrs so well pleased. Should be finished for spring
Tried to upload video but don't know if it works as I only have an ipad. Let me know

Re: Non starter
Sweet.
You probably just need to reset the exup.

Re: Non starter
Tension the opening cable a little.(you can advance the valve slightly)
It may be the bushes though.
Usually the inner bush is OK and stays in the exhaust when you take the valve out.
It is the bush in the end plate that is usually worn.
You can test for play without removing the endplate if the cables are loosened off a little.

Re: Non starter
Exups tend to make a popping sound, and it's irregular to the engine sound. If it's a tinkling rattle it's more likely the cam chain
