Ok so I haven't really touched the NSR over the last few months as I've been busy with a few Trackdays on the nc30 and a trip to the Isle of Man for the classic TT but now I've got a bit of spare time and cash I've dragged it out to get a few bits done, nothing really interesting but it's moving forward.
Footrests needed to be tidied up and fitted:

Had both barrels off to check for any wear and measure all the tolerances:

Luckily everything is in spec bar the bottom ring end gap on both pistons being a little tight, nothing a little work with a fine file can't sort out. The bores both look decent only issue is a small crack in the exhaust bridge on the top barrel:

Had the RC valves and spindles out and cleaned, coked up beyond belief:

Looking quite nice installed, moving lovely and free:

So I'm just waiting on some new base gaskets, circlips and RC valve seals then the engine will be reassembled ready to go back in the bike and see if I can get it running. I'm considering getting a new top barrel due to the crack I've heard of a lot of people running with cracked bridges and no issues but it will nag me every time I ride the bike.
