The engine fitting work was done prior to purchase;
The pics in the post pretty much show what is required better than a description.
Briefly;
Rear engine mounts altered.
Front engine mounts/hangers fabricated and welded in situ.
Rear arm and wheel from FZR1000r fitted to line up and utilise 17" rear wheel.
R/h footrest assy packed off frame with spacers to clear s/a travel
L/h footrest brackets cut from frame and relocated outboard to clear s/a and chain.
Cutouts/patches to inner frame rails for carb fitment.
The major loss on the 3EN2 would be the frame rails to locate the fairing fixings on.
This could be overcome by refab work and brackets which I did originally intend.
Access to an ally welder would be needed to repeat this exercise economically.
If you have no access to mig/tig gear and the skills to go with them then this would be very hard to keep in budget.
It is for this reason why the pre 3TJ frames are best suited to the FZR600 3HE engine swap; it is all bolt in stuff.

luckily the isle of wight has a large amout of boat builders etc so finding someone to do the welding wouldnt be to much hassle im just wondering if it would all be worth the effort and cost from the extra hp over the T-cat swap?

By access; I meant you need to be able to do it yourself.
Welder/fabricators are not the cheapest.
T/catwould be less work but will still require front frame hangers I believe.

3TJ is best suited to 600 Foxeye and ThunderCat
1WG is suited to 600 3HE.
Its down to the earlier engines mounting on the front of the gearbox
The later bikes mount to the side of the engine head so the engine is a stressed member.

so all in all a Fzr600 3HE engine will be the most strait forward swap with the least major (frame) mods?
again cheers for all this advice guys your a great help this is all much appreciated

They were FZR 1000r / RU but I replaced them with blue spots later when a cheap set came up.
Before you ask Dave; the 2TK legs, even though being 38mm had 100mm spacing for the calipers as did the next model, the 3EN1.
You could upgrade with those legs cheap enough if you got the discs; if that was what you were thinking.

Bolt straight up onto ;
SP 2TK
3EN1
600 3HE (but not the 89 model; it has the same caliper as your Genesis.)
The Genesis has non offset discs of a different diameter.(need swapping)
It is highly recommended to swap out the master cylinder with a one matching the calipers.
This is non radial calipers mind ; not the square shaped later radials.
