nice one boris sounds like it's coming together nicely,
braided lines as well, bonus

the tank cleaner is good shit,
iv'e been banging on about it for ages i know

but why spend £150 plus to send it off to be cleaned, when all there gonna do, is what you did, and for probably less the a score,
as for the second tank, if someone HAS used a tank sealant in there, i'm not sure the acid bath will do the trick as that shit is petro/chemical resistant, you may need something a bit more caustic

but probably worth a shot if you got some left,
although you have to ask why did they use it in the first place, you might find the better looking tank is the dog of the 2

I've got some other stuff to use on the second tank. It's wierd stuff in there, really brittle, I used an old spindle with a nut on the end and scratched a lot of it off.

Your local Asian supermarket or home brewing shop will sell it too. I've used it to de-rust BMX parts with some success.

Tonight - it's pi55ing down so I'm staying at home.
I did do a little bit of cleaning though, spot the difference.

In other news - I got a 3HE engine bolt set, the long bolt has 2 spacers that are the same as the single one on the 3TJ. The bolt itself is M10 but too long so tomorrow I'm going to have a walk around the railway arches and try to find a man plus lathe to cut it down and rethread te bogger.
