Yep the gixxer mod is well worth it. Back to back testing of the standard cdi and ignitech shows the standard cdi is slightly better this was some time ago tho so things may have moved on since. Saying that tho i think a programable CDI is a must when you start getting serious with engine mods.

What map you got on the ignitech? i think banoffee tested a few out and found a modified HRC map worked best with a standard motor, think it may have been the HRC map -1 or something like that, its probably still on the site somewhere.

Ive got the standard +2 map i think it is , as opposed to the hrc map. I think Alex Witham did a back to back test and it performed better than the HRC map.

what's the advantage of running rvf carbs?

I believe it offers better fueling and removes some of the flat spots, also RVF carbs dont go out of balance so easily.

I loved the bark from them doubt it will pass the mot though!!

Nothing much planned for this, just a general clean fit some exhaust, brakes and RVF carbs.

Nothing extravagant, Keeping the bodywork standard,as its in really good condition. I have a another full Mercury twin stack,rvf carbs and a general clean up.

Kris, If you have the Honda V force book check out page 120, its not a great pic but its a SEED endurance RVF with gold wheels

Dont say that i was going to put the white OKI wheels on Seed!!!

Project 3

Red/Black NC30 1992 Type 5 NH1.

Started it yesterday and took all the original bodywork off it. Its totally original and in brilliant condition, no cracks, no lugs broken even all the original bolts etc

And to be honest, thats where all the good things end!!

Its like somebody ridden out of the showroom on it and never touched it since, and when it has 72kms on the clock its a bit worrying!!

Its absoultely filthy, crud, oil inch thick in some places, no joke!!

Anyway.

bodywork off
subframe, undertray off
rear shock off
exhaust system eventually off!!

This was going to be a quick strip and clean but looking deeper into it, a lot of things need replacing!!

so its going to be a longer project than i thought!
