This! If you have a recently rebuilt one run it for at least a couple of years.. the later type shocks are great.. spend some time getting the suspension dialed in propely will help no end

easy to follow guide split into a few sessions lettign you work on each bit indivually, i reccomend this to people often as a good starting point.

The original shock wont be going anywhere..will always be kept with bike...just going the bm route and see how it goes theres good reviews on them..i can always put standard shock back on!

my question would be good reviews on them compared to what? and how are they being used?

especially for road riding I cant see the shock being any improvement over a recently rebuilt later type nc30 shock.

Maybe different if your at full lean angle on an 100mph bend on a racetrack and hit a bump but thats probably another story.

Looks interesting and simple enough to do, The only thing that I'm not sure on it reducing the BM dogbones. How much force is on the weld? Considering when it's been welded it'll have locally annealed it.

Could you just redrill the holes?. Or maybe put a gusset over the weld?

You can't drill new holes as there is not enough material to give it the strength. The alloy weld will be more than strong enough but you could also use the steel Honda dogbone and extend it, the only difference is that you will then need 2 extra spacers because the Honda part is wider.

Or yopu could make your own with some alloy bar an rod end bearings.
