I have a scrap set of carbs....
Including four working float needle valves, drop me a PM if you're interested.

Hi thanks for the offer!!bikemonkey wrote:I have a scrap set of carbs....

Will do if it comes to that. I've checked all the float heights and all are fine. After further investigation I think the valve is still springy but just not enough to push the float out when upside down. I would be surprised if it actually affected the carbs operation.
Does Rick Oliver often answer his phone as I've tried a few times today and this evening?
Also, Is it worth me getting a new set of HT leads from RO? Mine look like the originals. Secondary coil resistance was 24k ohms I think which was with the multimeter in the plug caps. Is this proof that they are functioning correctly?
Thanks.

Re: NC30 running on 3.
Just took all the plugs out. Spot the odd one out! Plug gap = 0.1mm.
Strangely this wasn't from the cylinder that was giving me grief.
Looks like the washer hasn't been compressed either like on all the others.

Looks to have melted. Thought it was carbon build up at first.

Plugs have done under 500 miles.

Re: NC30 running on 3.
Yeah carbs have been off this week and serviced. I don't think it has run lean. The plugs were a light brown colour. The one which has melted was actually darker than the rest. Probably melted due to having zero plug gap DOH!!richyrd5 wrote:looks like u need to check/set ur mixture screws chap.could be running lean although doesnt look like tbf.
