At the same time it's heavier, more complex (ie costs more to make) and more potential for failure in comparison to a cable.

Just wait until the seals go and you're sat in gear with the clutch 'in' but gradually making it's way out...

Haha yeah, mind you, the old one would work its way free at the most inoppertune moments, even after lashings of loctite.
As for the clutch.. it was treated to one of these before it was put on
Hopefully it'll last a while ^_^
...something to tat with anyway eh :D

I have a VF500F1 that has a hyrdrolic clutch and ive checked and it fits to the nc24 with no problems apart from cuting the cover down abit.
Could be a cheap source of parts if ur intrected in a hydrolic clutch. Does the 500 engine fit in a vfr frame btw....?

Dont think it would, mind you they had horrible reliablitiy issues and were known for their chocolate cam-chains..
the NC21 engine fits in the NC24 frame as their identical, and from my measurements the NC30 engine would also fit, problem with the NC30 engine is the exhaust mountings and everythign else.. serious business to fit one and would be eaiser buying an NC30 frame, or yet an NC30 bike.

Given you have experimented with this on the NC24, this must mean the '24 must have a speedo drive elsewhere correct? How do you reckon this might work on the '30 then? Modify a front sprocket cover maybe?
Would be nice to move to a hydraulic system for me, since mine is a go everywhere bike not having to worry about cables snapping.

lol i was just thinking out loud lol. I have allways had a thing for trying to put engines in other bike frames, although the clutch may find its way onto the vfr.
