Great project. Keep it coming! Keen to see how you go with the BMW shock. . .
It don't matter if i'm fixin' it or ridin' it.

Was fitted to my other bike handled great only down side could of done with ever so slightly more rebound damping but superb compared to the standard tired shock

Cool, i've got mine fitted to the bike ready for a test ride next week (once some other jobs are finished) but I keep looking at the top of the spring and thinking its going to slip off the shock. Which, quite frankly terrifies me.V4beermonster wrote:Was fitted to my other bike handled great only down side could of done with ever so slightly more rebound damping but superb compared to the standard tired shock
I'm spoken with Faulkner to see if they can supply me with a tapered spring (like the OEM bmw spring that goes from 2.25" to 2.0" internal diameter) but its looking pretty pricey at £80 plus vat plus delivery.
It don't matter if i'm fixin' it or ridin' it.

Re: V4beermonster's "Nail project"
Yeah, they have (from Kias suspension) I phoned them and they want at least £50 to make me a pair so i'd prefer to stump up the extra and get a spring that fits right.Drunkn Munky wrote:Some of the guys using the shock have made a spacer to overcome that problem have to they?
Plus it adds extra preload which i didn't want to do.
