rcv4 i wouldn't trust me for tips . i have never attempted anything like this before. but i will do my best to get the best result i can.

i suppose... what was the ID of your pipe may i ask? and how did you get the collar that goes at the end of the pipe? the collar that crushes the gasket in place. i keep on wondering that.

ye thats right from memory i think the material for the collars is 1 1/4 nominal bore tube.

oh okay. hmm so for the downpipe OD its 35mm. whats the ID? 33mm or so?

id will depend on wot wall thickness you use,1.5mm wall 32mm id etc...35mm tube is difficult to track down.
