TT-F3 I believe?Yakama wrote:Like it, I assume thats an RC30 - Gurus?force-v4 wrote:Look @ that seed, looks like it has a hydrolic clutch, aloly tank, different yokes - maybe this is the bike matey has?
I cant remember any special UK spec NC30's being around at the time apart from the aforementioned TT celebration bikes. On the other hand the FZR400RRSP's which were specially imported around the same time were individually numbered.

Sorry, I was incorrect. That's a factory RVF750 that was piloted by Taguchi and Itoh at the Suzuka 8 hours in 1988.Yakama wrote:Like it, I assume thats an RC30 - Gurus?force-v4 wrote:Look @ that seed, looks like it has a hydrolic clutch, aloly tank, different yokes - maybe this is the bike matey has?

Reply........................................
"I have done alot of research over the couple of years on this matter. But due to the fact that I'm on a time no issue, money no issue situation on this bike. I have only been half heartedly looking into it. I see About 11 months ago one sold on eBay for £5500. This was also form the same 200 bikes. From the top of my head i cant tell u 100% what the differences are and I'm fully aware about the UK models. I am not talking about these....
I have printed bits off the Internet about this matter, and i thought i had put it in my Haynes manual for the bike. Just dug out my book and its not there! Lol! I will have a route around and find them, the only thing is i have moved house since and I'm just about to move again! lol!
Like i said before, i was unaware of this until i tried to order the clutch for the bike from David silver.... He made me aware of the rarity of the bike. I can only assume the clutch may be different on these particular models as i bought the up rated clutch to try and eliminate the wrapping problems they have.
One thing you got to understand, Honda don't always build bikes right first time... For example CX500 and cam chains... Chains used to eat the inside of the casings so they modified it and it ate the other side then modified it again and finally cured it! Their seems to be a few of these rare breeds from Honda... as i painted a 1985 vfr 1000 with gear driven cams! This is unheard of! But like the customer said their is a few that slip through the net and his was 1 of only 18 ever built!!!!!
I will do my best to get on this, and put forward everything to you. I know i have it some where. The best bet is dvla. They have all the records and i know they are a pain in the arse to deal with but sometimes they really do help, finding out where in the UK it was brought into helps a lot!. The other thing is go through the dealers that imported the bike and go through those channels. I had mine confirmed over a year ago. since i had it confirmed i have done nothing else with regards to re-search as i kept putting it off till i was closer to the time."
This is sounding worse with every reply!

yeah...but one thing you got to understand....LOL
They don't have clutch warping issues... and if he is saying his is pre production then it is not special..it has defects that were later sorted. He needs to get his story right.
Saying that, being the information junkie I am, I want to know about it...
