Midrange is also boosted by longer pipework. Get a proper can on it too.

Extra 0.5mm washers and HRC slide springs will sort the midrange flatspot out so in effect give you better midrange but the 2.5mm drill mod is just for NC30 carbs i belive. But to be honest sounds like somethings wrong if its that guttless low down, or does it just feel gutless because you've just stepped off an R1??

Err, where did you drill exactly? Pic please!

I can't remember what rvf slides look like, but I thought it only applied to vfr slides?

Ya that is normal on rvf's.

Remember to set your pilot screws while you have the carbs off - 1 & 5/8 turns out.

That's for vfr carbs mate, best to set them to 1 & 5/8 turns out for rvf carbs.

 woops...dam it...i just finished and took it or a spin its much smother and responsive felt a lil glugish at first but eventually smothed out...ok so tomorrow i have to repeat the ripping off the carbs process and turn the screws 1 and 5/8ths....i am definately not getting the sluggish take off and power kicking in at 7000rpm...its smooth with a kick of power around 10000rpm...does this sound right for what i have done?
