Nice one Carl, keep us posted. Just as a quick footnote mate, I've seen a few done that seem to stick out the back quite a bit or at a wild upswept angle, which both look shit IMO. Just food for thought.
Looking forward to this, good luck.

Yes thats what I was thinking,if I mock one up,or if you have one that looks right get some pics from side on.My mate has broken his arm at the moment so fabrcated stuff is getting behind.I think the brackets I have can be made to work,we had talked about it before he fell off his snowboard.Have a look at his website.www.silverbackmanufacturing.com He made me some trials frames, and I sell his stuff so he can get on with his projects etc.Seat is in the pipeline, when it gets here I will run it past him and see what happens.Cheers Carl.

I can take the 08 unit off my 600 and see what it looks like against the 29, but I'm still out at work and wont be back home to the bikes till the start of March. I'm imagining you'll be well under way by then, but if not I'll be only too happy to rig something up.

Heres mine Carl, as you will agree it looks too low and too long on the standard frame.

Not wishing to rip yours apart Chris, good job mate. If I was having a go I would see about raising it an inch or two. and I would try and get the top of the seat hump and the top of the tank parallel. Not necessarily level and in line, but running at the same angle, if that makes sense??
However, IF i was having a go, mine would be lying in bits on the garage floor and I'd have headed to the pub long ago, in a huff!

Lol, no offence Marty. This is just to show you what the seat unit looks like when plonked directly on top of the original sub frame with no mods to either. Theres no way id leave it like that, anyway, shortly after that pic was took i did go down the pub lol. I think we all agree Cols version is what it Should look like

Ive got his mobile number somewhere, best see if he will post a good side on pic here.Dont want to make them wrong.Just done some SV injection reasets with the bike here in the workshop as a pattern, what could possibly go wrong? Turns out the seat was mounted for a five foot nothing rider, when I sent the first proper set out to a customer we was sitting like a jockey.Doh!
