Hi thanks for the replies. The fuel tap is now fully sorted. Still runs on 3 at idle but fine at full throttle. Had a race with a CBR400 along a local dual carriageway a few days ago and surprisingly my bike was a tad quicker although I still don't think it's 100%.

Interesting about the fuel causing the filter to melt. I'm surprised they still sell them tbh. Bet they have caused loads of headaches for people!

Yeah track day is at Lydden on Saturday. My first one. Fingers crossed me and the bike stay in one piece. Can't wait!!

I had the same problem running on three at idle...haven't read all through but mine ended up being a combination of small crack in carb inlet (between carb and engine) rubbers and slightly blocked idle jets...took three cleans to get all good as kept finding rubbish in them between cleans (despite cleaning out tank and fuel filter first)
