• Broken idle screws??

If i understand you right u are suggesting soldering a brass rod to the remaining piece of the pilot screw and pulling it out with the rod. There is an aluminium (some metal looking similar to aluminium) collar driven into the passage of the pilot screw and the needle part is stuck into that collar, wouldnt i solder the brass rod to both the brass needle and the collar ?

The problem isnt in the tight screwing but that someone before me broke the screws inside the carb and i cant screw in the new ones, because they get bent.. And here cant find another set of carbs so im thinking of a solution to the problem

do you mean there is something still stuck in the carb where the pilot screw goes?

big light will help you see in there or a good digital camera

I think he thinks the tips have snapped off inside the carb bodies, that's possibly why the new one bent when it was screwed in. It wouldn't have to be turned tight to bend it.

Yeah Neo I think the needle of the pilot screw is stuck in. That's why I suggested soldering something to it, just incase it may come out.

Can you take a pic of whats down the screw hole? I don't think there anything else down the under the screws apart from a spring and a washer and maybe an o-ring?

Yes the needle of the pilot screw is snapped inside the carb.

About the "aluminium" part i said. I meant that the needle of the screw enters a material which is different from the body of the carb that is further added. Will take photos soon.

As they say "a picture paints a thousand words"....... It seems we're all guessing as to the actual problem?

You will be very lucky if you fix them.

Get them off then using a good light and magnifying glass figure out how much is in,
Remove a good screw and measure the hole depth compare to the damaged one,
Look inside the carb at the back to see if any of the needle tip is showing through its hole then think about a fix.

yes as above.. its likely that damage has occured to the acual carb, ive seen a few that have suffered cracks internally frmo over-tightened pilot screws and overfuelled since, even with new screws in and set properly.

might be worth looking for another set already just incase you cant fix these
