No, although I have a CBR the method should be the same and generaly speaking it shouldn't hit the arm.

Also sit on the bike and have someone check it as it will tighten up when you sit on it if the bike has been jacked up.

How much are you pulling on the chain? Not sure about the Honda manual, but a friend of mine has a Kwak and the manual for that specifies you pull down with of a force of what I seem to recall is 10Kg. I wonder how many owners really get a spring balance out to measure? lol

Hi folks. Quick update.
Took the bike to the local trusted bike repair dood.

After he'd stopped cooing over it...he explained that you need to measure the chain tension with someone sitting on the back of the bike...doing this my chain is in spec.
