Does anyone have a link to the plug caps I will need and how much cable will I need?

Why do you need more caps?

1.5 metre is plenty of length to make all 4 HT leads out of, try a local bike shop and see if they can sell you any. I got mine from Graeme France in the UK,
If you take a HT lead off the bike once you unscrew the lead from the coil end of the bike you will be able to see it is of a compression type of fitting (push type fit)
The spark plug cap end is a screw type fitting (small screw at the bottom of the lead that you are basically screwing the lead into.)
You will see what i mean when you start taking the HT lead apart.

I took a few photos' in the shed today to try and help you out mate....

First picture is a basic photo of a spark plug, plug cap, lead and all attached to the coil...



The 'HT' lead or 'spark plug lead' simply pushes into the coil...



At the other end the spark plug lead ('HT' lead) screws into the spark plug cap...

I was just getting confused how it all tied together :) Currently there are threaded caps holding the ht lead to the coil. When I replace the leads will I still be able to use the threaded caps or will I not need them?

You will need the threaded caps as they hold the ht leads into the coil, without them they will be loose and could just come out

Thanks mate, will have to take it all apart then it will probably make more sense. The reason I asked about the threaded caps was because the ht leads I have on the bike currently seem to have a lip on the ht lead which the threaded cap sits on then you screw it on... Wont the new cable be flat/without the lip?

Yeah you will need that lip because thats what the cap presses against to keep the ht lead in, new ones wont have the lip. You might be better getting a decent used set of ht leads from Graeme France.

I used a GSXR coil for the photos and explanation.....oops, that probably just confused everyone. Sorry.
