Re: HRC rear brake kit
I've found if the bit of hose comes out of a genuine HRC labelled packet and has some fruity Jap writing on it, it doesn't sweat. If it doesn't, and someone has cut a length of a PVC hose, it does. Just saying...alexwitham wrote:I've been using one for 2 years filled with normal dot4 and never had any sweating. They do fade though but I replace my brake fluid every year and change the hose at the same time.

Yes it does. I've only ever had the HRC bits on my bikes and they've all sweated.Malc wrote:I've found if the bit of hose comes out of a genuine HRC labelled packet and has some fruity Jap writing on it, it doesn't sweat. Re: HRC rear brake kit
interesting to read all these comments , i wasnt aware there was any issues with the kit , i just fancied something that spruced up the rear brake gubbins,
i bought the kit from padgetts online , each part (4) came in sealed honda hrc packets , even the tiddly spring clip had hrc on the packet
(im expecting 0.0075hp from that clip alone )

Mine sweats as well and is genuine, but it is still better than the mungo sized OE reservoir and hose.viper_biker wrote:Yes it does. Re: HRC rear brake kit
There supposed to be dispoable and not designed for road / long term use.
On a GP bike it aids weight loss and you don't need a resevoir and braket and bolt.
I wouldn't use one on the road as it does nothing

And it will fail an MOT test, if used as designed.Neosophist wrote: I wouldn't use one on the road as it does nothing
