Bit small but heres a photo Rick took of Kev (projex) RVF400, runs a Tyga full system. 64.5hp.

Nasty dip there to match the lean patch as well, I know Steve who had the bike before me never put it on a dyno, it looks like no one else ever did either. I struggle to understand ssome people, the bike has had thousands spent on it, FFS spend the last few hundred having it set up properly.

Kev's dyno is a Dynapro, they're not known for being generous with the numbers, his motor is stock (and just 5000 miles old), he's removed the stator, thin race foam filter, 4 short bell mouths, removed the rubber airbox front, stock CDI, full Tyga system.

My old RVF c/w JHA SP1 style pipes, thin foam filter and an HRC cdi made 67bhp on Stephenrc45's dyno.
Tanuki's (same spec but an Ethos full system) made 64bhp on the same dyno but had a couple of bhp more in the mid range. Steve thought the end of the pipe was too small and there were a couple of horses hiding in there somewhere.

I can't wait for my carb kit to come from rick now, you've given me hope the guy who did mine was a cracker. Here's a pic of my race bike btw. Really wanna get this power up n more stable, I think she'll be a beauty when finished. Also... can you get a regular piston refurbishment (piston and rings etc) from rick oliver if its a compression problem?

Wait a sec fonnty, what carb/jet kit are you running? I was thinking of doing a similiar thing and making my own scoop like yours.

Guys my airbox has no tubes connected from it to the engine, (or anything else) but it looks like the air box cover has male fittings that should have tubes on them to somewhere, (Back of the airbox) but they weren't there at the start. Just wondering if someone could show me a pic of theirs or a pic of how it should be?

If I knew that I'd be a wiser man!

The bike is as it came with no info about what's in the carbs. The A/F meter shows a big lean spot between 11000 and 13000 to correspond with a similar dip in power.


Breathers routed into the airbox.

It also runs an electric fuel pump.

I have an airbox lid with a pipe exactly like that. That I dont need
I think the one I have still has the breather pipe holes

Right well I have no breathers connected at the moment, I'll have to get some tube, could that effect my dyno results?
