The loss'es you get from the lower gears is minimal, now they are not attached at the cams. ;)

Good point, but does the bottom one really need to be removed? I left them in as they wont mesh into anything so will not add any drag to the motor if that makes sense?

Do you have to shim up the cam drive sprocket then to stop it moving on the cam??

I never shimmed/adjusted anything. All seems to be fine

I didn't with mine, it's a pretty snug fit so there shouldn'y be to much movement.
It does make it sound like a bag of spanners compared to having them in though. :grin:

Spoke to my Brother again and the ones he cut off was on his RC30 now wether there different I don't know.
But still will be looking in to this because I like the noise it makes :whistle:

Yeah it even seems to change the exhaust note also :shock:
Mine used to pass noise tests until i removed them, now it sounds like its trying to eat itself :grin:

It'll be exhaust repacked before each track outting afterwards lol.
