Supercorsas rule! 160 work fine. I used the mitchies on my R6 a few seasons ago and couldnt wait to get rid.....
Mind, some like them, need to use a real low pressure on them, IIRC about 24psi cold in the rear.

Get the Pirelli's or the B-stones. I raced with the Power Ones and they sucked. At race pace they don't last worth a shit. And +1 on the 160's. I actually run Bridgestone 165 slicks on my rear. Only because they don't make a good race tire in 160. But the BT-003RS are good once up to temp. Just not good enough for a race pace.

Have 003s on my 600, seem pretty good so far.
160s on standard rims are pretty common at club races, you just won't get to the edge of the tyre. You could always fit a 5" rim to suit the 160 better.

I have a 5" rim from a early cbr 600 which i was told can be made to fit but i cant find a shread of info about it. Im quite happy to use 160's on a standard rim, have been on RVF's for years but it'll be nice to get a 5" rim on there.

It can be made to fit but you will have to have the rear break caliper machined down and the spacers as well.

Wozza no I believe he is speaking of the CBR400 rim.

Maybe i should change my avatar pic, im not just a V4 whore :grin:

With regards to the CBR6 rear wheel what happens to the hub? does a 400 one fit or do you machine down the 600 one? I dont have a 400 one to try yet and the 600 one i have looks way to big.

The hub and carrier are too big. You would have to have the 600 one modified. Not worth it IMO. I looked at doing it just because I can't get back up rims to put rain tires on for the races.

The carrier needs machining to get the sprocket in line, new spacers etc. If you're going to do it, firstly, machine the spacers to maintain the wheel centre line, then the carrier needs machining back to keep the sprocket in line (need to take the studs out) then you'll need to line up the disc. I made a whole new carrier and mounted a caliper beneath the disc so I cant help with specifics with a standard caliper set up. It's quite a lot of work for any benefits you may get. I'm not sure I'd bother again......
